Having played piano since the age of three, Don began performing publicly at five, and went on to master saxophone and vocals as well. He often amazes audiences by playing fluent saxophone and keyboards simultaneously, a practice he began 20 years ago on a dare from a fellow musician. Since 1970, Don has performed in bands of all types, from New Orleans to Atlanta, Louisville, Indianapolis, St. Johns Newfoundland, Houston, and every major city in Florida. He has also done spots at Caesar's Palace, the Tropicana, Bally's, and the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas. Don has been involved in numerous recording projects and has produced three previous albums including his original works. His recent CD, Wake Up To Love features his full and smoky sax tone and notable style, which are amply supported by his songwriting and arrangements on keyboards. There are nine original songs, eleven in all. Currently Don is performing his latest show, "Piano Men", a celebration of the lives and music of Elton John and Billy Joel. He and his wife are currently based in his home state of Louisiana, in Lafayette. |
